Yazd City

Yazd is a desert city located in middle of Iran. It is registered in UNESCO because of Mudbrick old town and its high Wind- Catchers. However, as the city is a desert city, it has a special architecture to provide a situation for local people to tolerate in hot weather in summer. That is to say, the material to build the houses is Mud which is made with water and soil, and it keeps the houses cool.   • Jaame mosque/ Masjid-e Jaame, We recommend visiting because of its elegant patterns of brickworks and mosaics.
